Israel Tour

The Order of Melchizedek Israel Tour
Dr. Francis Myles and Pastor Carmela extend this personal invitation for you to join us for
The Order of Melchizedek 2018 Israel Tour.

It is Israel’s 70th Birthday!
It is the 70th year birthday of the nation of Israel based on the faithfulness of God and God being a keeper of HIS Word (Ezekiel 37:10-14 and Isaiah 66:7-8).

These are significant times!
The modern nation of Israel was founded on May 14, 1948. In 2018 we will be celebrating Israel’s 70th birthday and it is our hope that you will join us as we gather in Jerusalem for a very special birthday year celebration. We are planning tours, times of worship, prayer and celebration.

The Mandate
We are being called by God to prepare our minds and hearts for something wonderful!
This trip has been prayerfully designed by the Holy Spirit as a potentially transformative, life changing, spiritual odyssey for everyone involved. We are expecting the Lord Jesus to meet with each of us in a special way, as His Beloved in the Order of Melchizedek, who are setting aside this time to come and meet face to face with Him, in His Land! Hallelujah! Together, as a called out group, we are asking Father God to please forge us into a modern day ״Gideon’s Army”. Although mainly designed as a spiritual pilgrimage and adventure of faith, this journey will also be an unforgettable experience in other ways as well, including wonderful times of fasting, feasting, fellowship and fun!”

To God be the Glory!

After Israel
You will never be the same
You will never read the Bible in the same way again
You will no longer just read about Jesus teaching on the Sea of Galilee, you will get to experience and visualize it

Day 1 – Wednesday October 17, 2018
Our Adventure Begins – HALLELUJAH!

We board our flight, heading from the United States of America (USA) toward Tel Aviv, Israel.  Some will be flying from LAX Los Angeles and other will be flying from JFK New York.

Day 2 – Thursday October 18, 2018:
Arrive in Israel

Today we land at Ben Gurion International Airport in Israel, just outside of Tel Aviv. We will be greeted and assisted at the airport by representatives of JET (Jerusalem Eternal Tours), our Israel-based pilgrimage operators, led by Mr. Daniel Decker. We’ll be transported from the airport by luxury coach, traveling north up to Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee, where a bountiful dinner awaits us at our hotel.

Overnight: Tiberias, Caesar Hotel

Day 3 – Friday October 19, 2018:
Explore The Galilee and Jezreel Valley

The Galilee: a region of Israel in which Jesus ministered and where much of the New Testament takes place. The Galilee is home to Mount Tabor, and the site of Christ’s Transfiguration.  We will explore places in and around the Sea of Galilee (e.g., the Lake area, The Jesus Boat; then take our own Boat ride); see Tabgha, which is traditionally accepted as the place of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Also, on our schedule for today, are visits to the Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum, Nazareth, Megiddo, and of course, the Mount of Transfiguration.

Overnight: Tiberias, Caesar Hotel

Day 4 – Saturday October 20, 2018:
Come, Let Us Go Up To The Mountain of The Lord!

Some will be fasting today, each one as the Lord so leads them. We need to check out early from our hotel and be on our assigned buses by 7:30AM sharp. Our first stop will be at the Jordan River baptismal site only a few miles from our hotel, where we will have a morning baptismal service for those who wish to be immersed. Then on to one of the famous cities of the Decapolis, Bet Shean, a masterpiece of archeological rediscovery into what a pagan Roman city looked like in the Mediterranean world at the time of Jesus Christ. After that we will head down the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on planet earth, stopping along the way to visit Qumran, where the first of the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. By 2:00PM we hope to reach the base of the impressive Fortress of Masada, an elevated desert stronghold built on top of a high mesa – ascending by modern cable car to explore some of the amazing ancient ruins there, dating back to King Herod The Great. Those not fasting today will have a chance to grab a bite to eat at the cafeteria inside the Masada base station before we reach the shores of the Dead Sea for some late afternoon “floating“ on top of the saltiest waters on earth. After a full day in the sun we will have a two-hour bus journey as we eventually Ascend to Jerusalem, “The City of The Great King“ (Psalm 48:2, Matthew 5:35), where we will spend the next 5 nights. Late dinner at our hotel and then some much deserved rest!

Overnight: Jerusalem, Ramada Hotel

Day 5 – Sunday October 21, 2018:
Jerusalem, The City of Our Great King

Selah – We are purposefully slowing things down today by a tad, giving each of us some extra time for spiritual reflection as we also prepare our hearts for a Glorious Spirit-filled Worship experience together later in the day. Buses will depart at 10:30AM to visit Yad Vashem (Israel’s Holocaust Memorial Museum), returning to the hotel by 1:30PM. From 3:00PM to 5:00PM we’ll enjoy a special Sunday Worship Experience in Jerusalem, as Dr. Myles ministers to us a life-changing message from God’s Word. Today, right after

dinner, transportation will be provided at about 7:00PM for any who wish to go do some shopping in modern West Jerusalem, on Ben Yehuda Street, a bustling outdoor pedestrian mall and shopping area.

Overnight: Jerusalem, Ramada Hotel

Day 6 – Monday October 22, 2018:
Jerusalem, Old City and Bethlehem

Lots of walking in store for us today! We enter the Old City by foot, as Christian Pilgrims, inside the ancient walls of Jerusalem, located in East Jerusalem. Walking in through The Lion’s Gate, we’ll see Bethsaida (the original Place of Grace, where Jesus did a wonderful miracle), then explore the basement ruins of Pilate’s ancient Governing Palace (The Praetorium) arriving close to the very area (The Lithostratus) where Pilate would have sat in judgment over Jesus and where Christ would have picked up the cross for His painful walk from here to Calvary, less than 400 yards away. We’ll then retrace some of those steps ourselves on the famous Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrows) through the narrow streets of Jerusalem’s Old City. The last stations of the cross bring us to the ancient Church of The Holy Sepulchre. Next, we exit the Old City and head over to The Shepherd’s Fields, just outside of Bethlehem, where Jewish Shepherds “kept watch over their flock.” It was in this very area where the Gospel of Luke tells us, an angel announced the birth of Jesus!“ So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go over into Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” (Luke 8:15 NKJV) After departing from The Shepherd’s Fields we will drive a short distance into Bethlehem, to visit The Church of The Nativity, solidly identified by history and Christian tradition as likely having been built over the ancient grotto/cave where New Testament declares that the Lord Jesus/Yeshua was born to Mary/Miriam, His virgin Jewish mother. We will be returning to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner.

Overnight: Jerusalem, Ramada Hotel

Day 7 – Tuesday October 23, 2018:
Jesus Won

We begin this morning heading to the top of the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem from the east. After, we will go to see the chapel that marks the area where Christian tradition holds that Jesus mounted the donkey for His Palm Sunday ride into Jerusalem. We will visit the likely location where He later ascended into Heaven and to which He will one day soon return! It was in the area of the Mount of Olives that King David fled his capitol city, weeping for Absalom as he went (2 Samuel 15:30) and where Jesus likely taught His disciples the Lord’s Prayer. We will then make our way down to the Kidron Valley (which lies between the Old City of Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives) to visit The Garden of Gethsemane. It was here, before His capture,  that Jesus agonized in prayer as He carefully contemplated there and fully accepted the GREAT AND FULL COST that now faced Him as He readied Himself for His Great Earthly Mission, to Redeem us by His Own Precious Blood upon Calvary’s tree. From here we will head to Gordon’s Calvary/The Garden Tomb, which shows us an actual tomb of a Jewish rich man from the time of Christ, lying empty, in a pristine garden setting, in this lovely setting we will have The Lord’s Supper together. Then we will visit David’s Tomb on Mount Zion and the traditional site, just above David’s  tomb, of both The Last Supper meal and later of Pentecost! Then we‘ll enter The old City of Jerusalem for the second day in a row, this time walking in via Zion’s Gate, to explore the ancient Cardo (which was the main commercial street of Jerusalem at about the time of Christ) and some areas of the Jewish Quarter, including the Herodian mansions of the Temple Aristocracy and The Temple Institute, where some Orthodox Jews (still only a minority) feel strongly that God is telling them to get ready to build soon the Coming Third Jewish Temple. In this area a decent “falafel” (fried chick peas with Israeli style salad and French fries, all shoved together into fresh pita bread, often called Israel’s national “sandwich”) can be purchased. We will then wend our way by foot down many steps finally reaching the Wall Plaza, where women are invited to head to the right, as men head to the left, to pray at the famous Western Wall. Be sure to prepare your prayer requests on slips of paper in advance of the trip or maybe during the flight to Israel, along with specific names of people you are praying for, and be prepared at this time to insert these requests directly into the crevices of this ancient Wall of Prayer. This particular location on earth has sometimes been referred to as God’s Post Office! We will then return to our hotel for dinner.

Overnight: Jerusalem, Ramada Hotel

Day 8 – Wednesday October 24, 2018:
Jerusalem, New Perspective!

We begin this day at the famous Israel Museum, we visit The Shrine of The Book (Israel’s Official Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit and Israel’s National Treasure, the BIBLE!), and then we proceed outdoors to walk around  the  meticulously constructed and constantly updated Scale Model of Ancient Jerusalem During The First Century (i.e. the time of Christ). From here, we proceed to a guided VIP tour inside the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament Building, passports are required for entrance. We make our way now to drive through The Judean Hills, Israel’s Biblical heartland, heading west, down toward the Elah Valley, David and Goliath country! We will be personally welcomed in this area at the lovely hilltop home of our friends, Mike and Elana Cohen, Orthodox Jews, who have become friends with many Evangelical Christians over the years, including some top Christian leaders from around the world. Just before it gets dark, we hope to enjoy the best panoramic view of The Judean Hills, looking from west to east, that we could ever hope to see! Mike, a Bible and Land of Israel self-taught expert, will explain to us the importance of this location as he also points out on the horizon certain spots, such as the area we can know with high certainty where David likely hid from King Saul and where he also likely penned some of the Psalms that today, Jews and Christians alike, all over the world ,  love, memorize, recite, declare and even sing ! We will also have a chance to meet in person one of Israel’s top archeologists. Before we leave this anointed part of Israel, we will each receive a unique souvenir to take home with us and to cherish forever as a reminder of this special tour and special day! We will ascend the Judean Hills making our way back to Jerusalem, for dinner at the hotel and to spend our last night, on this trip, in the Holy City.

Overnight: Jerusalem, Ramada Hotel

Day 9 – Thursday October 25, 2018:
Shalom

We check out of our hotel after breakfast and we head west to the Mediterranean Sea, on this last day we will explore the Roman ruins of Caesarea By The Sea, yet another amazing building project of the Herod The Great. Later we will stop in the Tel Aviv area at a beach for people to dip their feet into the sea, then over to ancient Joppa, where Jonah fled from God’s will and gave indigestion to a big fish. In Joppa, we will also see the site of Simon The Tanner’s home, mentioned in the Book of Acts. In the early evening we’ll celebrate a final farewell dinner together in Joppa, by the Sea. Later this evening we will be transferred to the Ben Gurion airport and board our flight to return home.

Day 10 – Friday October 26, 2018
In flight, Homeward Bound, to our final destinations. As we all head back now to our respective homes, families, jobs and responsibilities we do so with MUCH thanksgiving in our hearts for all the powerful new insights the Lord has granted us on this special time together with HIM, in HIS LAND, the Miracle Land of Israel! We also will be taking home with us wonderful new experiences and memories, plus friendships that will last a life time. And we carry in our hearts a fresh expectancy to read and appreciate the Bible as never before ! We pray that the Lord will make His Word known to us  from now on in new and living way, and also His Wonderful and Perfect Will for each of our individual lives, Hallelujah!
